Thanks darrellwr!

Check out the light blue Diavolo model next to mine. Look in the bridge pickup cavity. This just blew me away when I saw this picture. I have never seen a naturally occuring "eye" that looks this real in wood before. It is just amazing what naturally occurs in wood! Check it out......

And another view of it.....

Yes that is a another really beautiful piece also and the eye is a rare sight. It looks so real. to bad it is covered in the pickup cavity tho. He makes some really nice guitars and can't wait to hear a sound clip from yours, never heard the tonal quality of redwood and rosewood together before bet its very bright. Drool headbang headbang

Yeah, if you look at the build pics, the eye doesn't really show up until the finish hits that area. Then it just seemed to pop out. It is crazy how real it looks.

Thanks for the compliments on the guitar. Frank did an amazing job with it!

Actually Redwood is usually described as warm and soft in tone and the guitars I have played with IRW necks seemed to have full and warm sounds as well. Frank described the tone of it as "rich and round". Just ready for it to get here! Not too far off now!
