3 way toggle drops in volume

Does anyone know what this means?  Sometimes when I switch from bridge to neck or vice versa the volume drops.

I usually rectify it by switching back a few times and its normal again but I kind of get the feeling that maybe one of the pots is going bad?

Any info would be great help.

Sounds as tho you have a dirty contact in the toggle switch if you are able to switch it back and forth a few times and it regains its volume. I would use a contact cleaner on the toggle and if that doesn't do the trick then I would change it out.

I had that happen, and contact cleaner works for a while. If you can solder, it's worth getting a new switch and changing it out.
